[v6.3] A coding error caused the WOFMAINT program to NOT import
puzzles from an external file.
06/13/96
[v6.2] A coding problem caused a QEMM error or "Out of String Space"
error in the WOFMAINT program.
06/11/96
[v6.1] When a player hit BANKRUPT the program was only displaying
1 of the 2 lines of text.
The limit on the number of puzzles allowed in the databases
has been removed. WOFMAINT will handle as many a you wish
to throw at it. There is one limit that remains and that is
in the DUPLICATE CHECKING routine. Only the first 2000
puzzles will be duplicate checked against.
A NEW option has been added to the CFG file to control whether
or not you wish to have the door LOG callers (ON/OFF) to a
USAGE file. A separate file is created for each Node.
If you have activated the option that allows the user to leave
puzzles when they end the game, you will notice that they will
now be asked to supply a category as well. This will make the
WOFUSER.PUZ compatable with the WHEEL/BONUS databases, thus
making it importable by the WOFMAINT program.
01/07/96
[v6.0] ALIAS option NOT working properly.
Changed the color of the little squares representing the
letters in the phrase to CYAN from DARK BLUE. There have been
some complaints of being unable to see the DARK BLUE against
a BLACK background.
01/24/95
[v5.9] Based on a few problems reports, we have determined that the
WOFMAINT program was NOT handling the CFG file correctly when
using the GTUSER.SYS dropfile. One of the symptoms would be
that WOFMAINT would not recognize that WOF was registered.
01/08/95
[v5.8] Eliminated the 'ANSI not detected....' message since there are
a few communications packages out there that give off their
own type of ANSI.
If using the TRIBBS.SYS system file, the door always presented
the opening screen in black and white. Will now be presented
in color.
The Door knows that the caller is the Sysop, if the caller is
record #1 in the BBS' user database. The BBS software passes
that record number to the door via the system file. Some BBS
software does not pass the actual record number but passes a
relative number (ie: record #1 is passed as record #0). If the
number being passsed is 0, the Door will not know it is the
Sysop calling. We will now recognize the caller as the Sysop
if their record number is 0 or 1.
As more and more BBS' use Alias', we have been asked to
provide a way for the callers to use their Alias' rather
than their LogonName. All Sunrise Doors will now have this
Sysop configurable option in the CFG file.
08/14/94
[v5.7] One of the most frequently encountered errors is a 'File Not
Found' when the Door first starts up. This error is normally
encountered by those setting up WOF for the first time and
results from the Sysop NOT running the Initialization option
in WOFMAINT. WOF will now check to ensure that the
Initialization has been run and display a more appropriate
message!
Added a colorized (ANSI) TOP SCORE bulletin. You will have to
update the CFG file to reflect this addition. See the
WHEEL.DOC file for placement of this new entry.
Added a colorized (ANSI) HALL OF FAME bulletin. You will have
to update the CFG file to reflect this addition. See the
WHEEL.DOC file for placement of this new entry.
If the XXXX/YYYY entries in the CFG file were entered in
LOWERCASE, the Door would display a CFG error and return to BBS
Added an option to menu to Redraw the screen at anytime during
playing of the game.
Questions have arisen about a file called WHEEL.CAT. This file
has not been required for some time, but was never removed
from the archive. This file used to contain the valid
categories.. you are not currently restricted and may use ANY
category of 20 or less characters.
03/14/94
[v5.6] Past problems with large values in the Door.Sys or other System
Files (Drop Files) generating an OVERLOW (Error 6) error, have
been resolved.
When the Door displays the opening screen, it asks if you want
instructions and you are forced to enter a Y or N. This was
installed to handle problems encountered when using Digiboards.
With this release you can choose whether you want to force a
y/n OR if you want to use the y/N format which allows the
player to press ENTER for the default N. You must update your
CFG file, see DOC file.
Opening screen not asking if you wanted instructions. Opening
screen would just flash on the screen and the game would
continue.
08/20/93
[v5.5] When using the (#) option to display the Hall of Fame
scores, the program was not recognizing it as a valid
command. In addition it would not return the cursor to
proper screen position nor would it clear the callers
input. Should work fine now.
Due to technical reasons, we no longer support CHAIN.TXT
07/18/93
[v5.4] If you did not have a large number of puzzles in the
BONUS.DAT file, the maintnenace program was not moving
puzzles from the database (BONUS.DAT) to the question file
(BONUS.QUE). You would end up with a 0 length BONUS.QUE file
and when caller reached the BONUS round they would end up
with an error #62.. Input Past End of File.
If you used 'LEVELS' as one of the options in the WHEEL.CFG
file, the program would not stop at the opening screen. It
would just display the opening screen and immediately jump
to the LEVELS SELECTION screen.
Will only save a game if wheel has been spun.
Have had a report that the line containing the remaining
letters from which to choose, would 'disappear' and then
reappear. I believe I have found the problem...
06/19/93
[v5.3] The WOFMAINT program was not recognizing that WOF was
registerd, IF the Sysop name was a one word name. This
has existed in the program for 4+ years....
Added support for the PCBoard /M version
The display of the HOF will now have a new option choice
on the menu. It was "*" and it is now "#".
05/19/93
[v5.2] Player was being asked if they wanted instructions, after
every puzzle. They will only be asked once, upon entering
the door.
If a player had saved a game and if they replyed 'Y' to the
'Want Instructions' question, they would not be presented
with the saved puzzle.
When changing puzzles the Hall of Fame file was not being
updated.

[v5.1] When creating the v5.0 ZIP file, a fil
